SSL Services

SSL services secure online communication by encrypting data between a user's browser and the website, ensuring privacy and trustworthiness.

What is SSL certificate? This question often keeps roaming in the mind. SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer or in other words it is a security protocol that creates an encrypted link between a web server and a web browser. It was established about 25 years ago. An SSL certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates the identity of a website and enables encrypted connections. Now it is also important to understand what an encrypted link/encrypted connection is. Encryption technology is used to protect sensitive information. This is an old method. Encryption technology has been in use since ancient times, but today encryption technology is used by armies and governments. In modern times, encryption is used to protect data on computers and storage devices as well as on networks. Encryption technology turns plain text into a type of secret code that hackers, cybercriminals, and other online spies cannot read. Companies and organizations need to add SSL certificates to their websites to secure online transactions and keep customer information private and secure. Firstly, SSL ensures that it is impossible to read any data transferred between users and websites, or between two systems. This data potentially includes sensitive information such as name, address, credit card number or other information. This process is sometimes called the "SSL handshake". Although this seems like a lengthy process, it is completed in milliseconds. When a website is secured by an SSL certificate, the abbreviation HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure) appears in the URL. Without an SSL certificate, only HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) is visible.
